The City of Berwyn with the assistance of the Chicago
Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) has been working on a new zoning and
sign ordinance over the last five years. After a number of community
planning events, a public hearing, and a unanimous vote by City Council,
the City of Berwyn now has a new zoning ordinance, zoning map and sign
ordinance. These new ordinances are a major step in achieving the Berwyn
Comprehensive Plan’s commitment to promote a sustainable environment that
enhances the City’s vitality and quality of life.
