In an effort to bring water customers into compliance, the City of Berwyn has adopted a new policy which aims to bring non-payers current with their bills. The Berwyn City Council unanimously adopted the policy with the understanding that honest, regularly paying tax payers should not have to foot the bill for those that abuse the water system by not paying. Those who abuse the system will be subject to having their water service terminated.

BERWYN – As communities across Illinois are preparing for Fourth of July holiday celebrations, the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance (IFSA) and the Berwyn Fire Department is reminding residents that the best way to have a safe holiday weekend is to let trained professionals handle fireworks. The public is urged to attend public firework displays and avoid using consumer fireworks.

Snow Removal Update 2


This is an update on the City’s response to the winter storm from this past weekend.

Public Works crews are continuing to work on snow removal, and are still focusing on the main snow routes which have not been completely cleared due to parked vehicles blocking the direct path of the snow plows. ALL vehicles need to be removed from any of the designated SNOW ROUTES by 7:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3rd or may face ticketing and possible towing. The designated snow routes are Roosevelt Rd, 16th Street, Cermak Road, 26th Street, Riverside Drive, 31st Street, 34th Street, Ogden Avenue, Pershing Avenue, Harlem Avenue, Oak Park Avenue, East Avenue and Ridgeland Avenue. ...
